Starbucks Managers File Lawsuit Against Employer

A United States District Court in Florida certified the class in a class action lawsuit, brought by Starbucks’ Managers. Once a class is certified, the case can proceed as a class action lawsuit.

The lawsuit was brought by the managers alleging that from January 15, 2006 to today Starbucks failed to pay overtime wages as required by federal fair wage laws.

Starbucks is no stranger to labor law lawsuits. Last year, the coffee giant was ordered to pay an estimated $100 million in wages to baristas. The tips were compensation for lost wages illegally shared with managers and supervisors.
